With the highest quality data, bespoke analytics and expert commentary, the Accenture Analysis Team helps fans to #Seebeyond the standard match stats. To deliver these unique insights into game-changing moments, Accenture’s analytics experts process more than 28.5 million rows of data each Championship, and Analysis Team members, Nick Mallett, one of the world’s premier former national rugby coaches; Rugby World Cup winner Ben Kay and Irish legend Gordon D’Arcy, share their extensive rugby knowledge to provide fans with a new perspective.
For the 2017 RBS 6 Nations, Accenture Innovation has developed a cinematic, full body, mixed reality experience that extends virtual reality from the individual to a wider audience. Interacting with life-sized rugby players on the pitch, fans can drill down into player-level analytics, while our green screen studio captures the virtual action and broadcasts it in real time for onlookers to enjoy.
